Associate of Arts and Science Degree
UW-Fond du Lac offers you the opportunity to complete the University of Wisconsin System Associate of Arts and Science Degree. This degree encompasses the liberal arts foundation required for over 200 University of Wisconsin majors and for acquiring your bachelor's degree.
The value of a liberal arts education is multi-faceted. It signals to employers that, as a degree holder, you have advanced skills in communication, critical thinking, group dynamics and an awareness and an appreciation of other cultures, which all are vital to success in today's workplace. You will learn how to think, collaborate, create, problem solve, communicate and lead. You will become more marketable. You will be more adaptable. How do we know this? See what one prominent Wisconsin employer has to say about a liberal arts education:
"It is clear to most organizations that people are their only long-term competitive advantage and that diversity among employees is a real strength. Many organizations have employees with a technical education, but diversity in education is important as well. I believe the broad knowledge of a liberal arts education can provide the kind of educational diversity that is in short supply in many organizations."
~ Joe LoCicero, Organization Development and Training, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Tomahawk Operations
