UW-Fond du Lac has two new professors on campus this fall

Yanting Liang is joining the UW-Fond du Lac faculty as an assistant professor of mathematics. She will teach Intro to College Algebra, Quantitative Reasoning, and Calculus & Analytical Geometry.

Liang has a Ph.D. from West Virginia University. She has published 11 papers, given numerous presentations at professional meetings, is the recipient of several fellowships and the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award at West Virginia University.

Michaela A. Nowell is joining the UW-Fond du Lac faculty as an assistant professor of sociology. She will teach Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, and Sociology of Marriage and the Family.

Nowell has a Ph.D. from Purdue University. She is an active member of the American Sociological Association, as well as Sociologists for Women in Society, and is the co-chair of the National Women’s Studies Association’s Fat Studies Interest Group. Nowell was awarded a Graduate School Excellence in Teaching Award at Purdue University.

UW-Fond du Lac is one of the 13 UW Colleges, the freshman/sophomore campuses of the UW System, serving 13,000 students across the state.
