Stories on personal impact of war shared during UW-Fond du Lac panel discussion

UW-Fond du Lac hosted a panel discussion recently on “America’s Wars: The Personal Impact” with current military personnel, family members of active duty military personnel, area veterans, and current and former students. The panelists shared their unique perspectives on wars from World War II to the present.

Participating on the panel were (left to right): Chris Schmidt (family member); Sarah Schmidt (family member); Specialist Janon Baker; Sergeant First Class Stephen Pepper; Blia Choua Vang (Lieutenant in Hmong forces); Ger Xiong (daughter and translator);Sergeant First Class John Lepinski; Staff Sergeant Robert Plummer and moderator UW-Fond du Lac history professor Dr. Paisley Harris.
