Winter/Spring Private Piano Instruction
Classical beginning and intermediate private piano instruction includes:
Tuesdays starting January 11 from 3:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m.
Wednesdays starting January 12 from 3:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m.
Thursdays starting January 13 from 3:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m.
(earlier afternoon instruction times are also available)
Tuition for (15) fifteen, 30 minute private lessons is $240, or $225 (sibling discount). There will be no lessons the week of April 18-22. Recital date/time is Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Call (920) 929-1155 for more information or to register.
About the Instructor...
Sandra Gabert, retired North Fond du Lac School District K-5 music instructor, has taught piano and voice through the college level. She has both bachelor and master degrees in Music Education and Applied performance from the University of Wisconsin.
Suzuki Violin

Children learn to play the violin using the ‘Mother Tongue approach’ (also known as the Suzuki Method) developed by Shinichui Suzuki. Parents are an integral part of this method as they are required to attend weekly private and group lessons with their children, learn to play the ‘Twinkle’ variations, play the recorded music daily and practice with their children daily. Each student will receive a weekly private lesson and a group class lesson. There will be recitals and opportunities to play for the public. Fees for the 13- week program, beginning the week of January 17 are 30 minute private lesson - $225, 45 minute private lesson - $387.50, 60 minute private lesson - $500. Tuition may be paid in two installments.

ACT Strategies Prep

Prepare for the ACT just in time for the ACT testing dates! Areas to be covered during the four session course include: test-taking strategies, English, writing, reading, math, and science. You will also have an opportunity to take two practice exams and receive the results in time to brush up before the exam dates. All areas covered will include both content and test taking strategies. You will be taught by UW Colleges faculty and will receive a 532 page study guide.
The ACT course schedule includes:
1st Saturday-ACT pre-test; 2nd Saturday-review test, study and test taking skills, English/reading & writing; 3rd Saturday-math & science; 4th Saturday-ACT post-test, questions and wrap-up.
Fee: $149 includes all instruction, two practice exams, and study guide.

Babysitter Training

This 6-hour course is ideal for current and future babysitters ages 11-15. It teaches you safety in general and the safety of the children in your care. In a fun, interactive environment, you will learn the responsibilities and qualities of being a good babysitter. This course was developed by the American Red Cross. Bring a lunch. This class is an exciting and hands-on experience with clay and creativity. You will sculpt a variety of bowls, pots and sculptures using an array of techniques. Explore various hand-building techniques along with artistic expression. Make ice cream bowls you can eat out of! Sculpt animals, vases, creatures and more! Bring your imagination, and the possibilities are endless! All projects will be constructed and fired in a kiln with traditional ceramics techniques. All pottery will be lead-free and food-safe. Fee: $49 includes all materials and instruction. Class size is limited to 16, so don’t wait to register!
