Phlebotomy Technician Exam Preparation Program
Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday
April 2, 2012 – June 6, 2012
6:00 – 9:30 pm (weekdays)
8:30 am – 12:30 pm (Saturdays)

Location: Science Building, Room 111, UW-Fond du Lac

This 90 hour exam preparation program prepares professionals to collect blood specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Students will become familiar with all aspects related to blood collection and develop comprehensive skills to perform venipunctures completely and safely. Classroom and lab work includes terminology, anatomy and physiology- blood collection procedures, specimen hands-on practice, and training in skills and techniques to perform puncture methods.

Students will be prepared to sit for the NHA-CPT exam. This exam preparation program also offers a foundation to become American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT) Certification as well. Phlebotomists may work in hospitals, laboratories, and doctors' offices, blood banks, insurance companies and at sites where donors give blood for transfusion. Phlebotomists can work at the scenes of emergencies or go from house to house to take blood samples from bedridden patients

Contact Hours - 90 hrs. Fee: $1,599 includes textbooks. No classes April 14 or May 26.
