BASKET MAKING FOR THE BEGINNER

Create a three-dimensional art form when you learn to weave baskets! This class is intended to give the beginning weaver a good start in learning the basics of basket making and prepare the weaver to be able to make basket on their own after the class. You will be taught the basic over and under weave with flat reed, twining round reed and also how to rim and lash a basket. You will also be taught how to read and understand basket patterns and will be shown additional patterns that you can make using the skills you have learned. Quality basket weaving supplies, handle, patterns, and tools to make a couple of beautiful baskets will be provided. These baskets make unique gifts, and are also fun to decorate with. Fee: $79
