What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese form of stress reduction and deep relaxation which helps strengthen the immune system and promotes healing, and is effective for the treatment of emotional, mental and physical health issues. Reiki is currently practiced in 54 hospitals and clinics throughout the United States and its credibility and popularity continue to grow. It is also offered in many long-term health care facilities. Reiki is complementary to modern medicine and has been demonstrated to improve the results of virtually every medical treatment. Some of the most common benefits of Reiki treatment include lowering blood pressure and normalizing cholesterol levels. Clinical studies show Reiki treatment reduces negative side effects from chemotherapy and surgery. It also accelerates the healing process and aids in reducing or eliminating pain. Because Reiki offers a self-treatment method, it is useful for those who wish to be active participants in their own healing. These courses are recommended for: OT and PT, SLP, nurses, counselors, physicians, psychologists, chiropractors, teachers, parents and anyone.
