University Wisconsin Center-Fond du Lac Music
Department presented its first Madrigal Dinner.
The dinner recreated an English Feast of the
Sixteenth Century and continued until 1989.

University Wisconsin Fond du Lac celebrated its 10th anniversary amid complainers who believed that the two-year campus caused a decrease in enrollment at UW-Oshkosh. An editorial from the Fond du Lac Reporter stated that “the UW-Fond du Lac campus has become a major cultural and educational asset to the entire county…Hundreds of high school graduates who could not have lived in Oshkosh, or commuted their daily, have been given the opportunity to get started toward earning a college degree.”

The University of Wisconsin Board of Regents approved an 11 percent tuition increase for UW-Fond du Lac students for the 79-80 academic year. Full-time resident students paid $378.50 per semester for tuition and segregated fees.

A major change in financial aid occurred when more students became eligible for either state or federal financial aids than in past years. The financial aid form (FAF) qualified students for both federal and state aid.
