Service-Learning for Students
Service-learning at the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac offers students the opportunity to enrich their learning, while at the same time making a stronger community.

How do I get involved?
- Enroll in a service-learning course. For a list of courses that have been offered as service-learning, please see Course/Project List

- If you think a course could help meet a community need, ask your professor to consider including a service-learning component.

Helpful hints to find a service-learning placement:
1) Think about your interests and/or hobbies.
2) What type of service agencies are you interested in?
3) What are the learning objectives of your course? What is the service requirement of the course?
4) What service agencies may match your interests? Do the service agencies match the learning objectives of your course?
5) Consider the type of agency. Does it require a short term and/or long term commitment? Will you have the skills to complete the needs of the agency?
6) Contact a local volunteer center. Bring with you answers to the questions above.
