Patricia Eby is founder and
director of Fond du Lac
Chamber Singers and UW-Fond
du Lac Vocal Jazz. As
director of the campus music
program, she also teaches
music theory and aural
skills, traditional music
literature and history of
rock and roll. With
expertise in world music,
she teaches a course in this
subject which is offered
across the state at the 13
UW Colleges campuses via
distance education
technology.
Eby also directs two choirs
for Holy Family Catholic
Parish. Under her direction,
the Contemporary Choir
performed a concert tour of
Italy in December 2003.
Born and raised in Chicago,
Eby received the bachelor of
music education and
education from Chicago State
University. She directed
award-winning high school
choirs before continuing her
education at Kent State
University where she
completed a master of music
under the mentorship of
Vance George, director of
the San Francisco Symphony
Chorus and began work for a
Ph.D. in choral music
education.
She then moved to Fond du
Lac where she was a tenured
faculty of choral music
education and director of
choirs at Marian
College prior to her
position at UW-Fond du
Lac. She currently resides
in Fond du Lac with her four
children and two cats.
