UW-Fond du Lac's social science curriculum provides you with basic skills and knowledge which will help you enroll successfully in a bachelor's degree program, succeed in a variety of social service or criminal justice professions, and compete successfully in the evolving global environment. This curriculum includes basic skills courses leading to a fundamental understanding of the general sociological factors which influence human behavior. It also teaches the value of the scientific study of society, and how to apply sociological principles to help people solve everyday problems. The course of study provides you with fundamental concepts, principles, and skills for a clear understanding of the foundations of contemporary social work and criminal justice. Social science work, when combined with UW-Fond du Lac's strong, liberal arts curriculum, will provide you with the essentials needed during the first two years of a social science education.
