UW-Fond du Lac has been a great place to start my higher education. It has helped a lot in making the transition from high school to college go a lot smoother. If I would have started at a larger four year campus, I think it would have been very overwhelming and distracting. Now that I’ve had a couple years at a smaller campus I’ve learned what it takes to be a good student.

UW-Fond du Lac has allowed me to continue my schooling while saving money to be able to transfer to UW-Milwaukee. I also really love the theater programs offered here, they allow you to really shine, be creative and have fun! It was nice to have a class that takes you away from the normal required ones! Choosing UW-Fond du Lac to start my college career was the best decision I’ve made.

The classes offered at UW-Fond du Lac fulfilled my general requirements for the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. The class size along with the personal attention from the professors, advisors, and staff make for a great learning environment! At UW-Fond du Lac I'm not just a number, my achievement and success matters to this college.

The main reason I decided to attend UW-Fond du Lac was its affordability for the great education I would receive. Extracurricular activities and the great professors together have made my college experience very enjoyable. In total UW-Fond du Lac is the best investment of my life.

David R. - Fond du Lac

I chose to attend UW-Fond du Lac because of the lower cost of tuition compared to four-year UW colleges and private colleges. I also chose this school because of the available Bachelor’s degree programs which fit my schedule.

The classes I took helped me to gain knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the workforce. I would recommend UW-Fond du Lac because it provides small class sizes along with professors who are approachable and supportive. It also has activities and groups to get involved with school and community events. All of these qualities created a positive experience.

For me, UW-Fond du Lac was the best start for my life.

I chose UW-Fond du Lac for three reasons.

The first is that it is affordable; the second reason is that the campus is located close to home so I can save money on transportation and living expenses. The third and final reason would be the fact that I did not have to sacrifice my education to receive either of these!

 Tyler M. - Brownsville

I chose to attend UW- Fond du Lac because of the small campus size and close proximity to my hometown. Those who attend UW- Fond du Lac don’t get “lost in the crowd” like so many others who attend larger campuses. Teachers know your name and will do everything in their capabilities to give you the best chance to succeed. Also, there are many opportunities for students to get involved with various campus organizations and even to take on leadership positions. Best of all, because of the location, I can still live at home while attending classes and save thousands that would have otherwise been spent on housing.

Choosing to attend UW-Fond du Lac was the best decision I ever made. The friendly staff and students made the transition from high school to college a breeze. With the small class sizes, professors are able to offer individual attention to their students. If you’re looking for a college with affordable tuition and a state-of-the-art facility, UW-Fond du Lac is the place for you!

UW-Fond du Lac is an awesome way to start your college experience. The small class sizes make it easy to have a relationship with your professor and easier to join in on class discussions. With tuition being so low, it is affordable for everyone. For anyone undecided about where they want to go, or wanting to start out small before going to their four-year college, UW-Fond du Lac is a great way to start your degree.

UW-Fond du Lac is a great place to to start your college career. The tuition is reasonable, the class sizes are small, and the teachers make the atmosphere totally comfortable. By going to UW-Fond du Lac, I know that when I transfer to a four-year university, I'm guaranteed my credits. I'll start as a Junior and be at the same level as all the other students currently going there.

UW-Fond du Lac is the perfect place to start your college education. It’s small class sizes and affordable tuition gives you the opportunity to learn what you need at a cost anyone can afford. Its many clubs, activities, and competitive sports teams gives the students an opportunity to get involved. My choice to go here was well worth it.

"I am very glad I chose to attend UW-Fond du Lac for my first two years because it has helped make my transition into college so easy! The class sizes are small, so the professors know me by first name and truly care to help me succeed. It allows me stay by friends and family, but yet meet so many new people, too. And I know when I am finished here that I can easily transfer to four-year UW campus of my choice. I could not imagine finding a school better suited for me than UW Fond du Lac!"

UW-Fond du Lac is such a great place. I truly enjoy the small class sizes, which allow me to interact with my professors who know me on a first name basis and want me to succeed. I am enrolled in one of the collaborative degree programs which allows me to take all my courses at UW-Fond du Lac and earn my communications degree from UW-Milwaukee.

My experience at UW-Fond du Lac has impacted my life and my journalism major profoundly. Writing as sports editor for the "Falcon Flier," our student newspaper that's printed monthly in the Fond du Lac "Reporter," enabled me to obtain a job in the sports department of the "Reporter." The faculty and staff on campus are always helpful and friendly. Among many other contributing factors, the most beneficial aspect of attending this college was the education I received. I really learned how to apply myself in each individual class I took, in ways I never thought possible.

Heather L. -- Fond du Lac
Choosing UW-Fond du Lac was the best decision I've made regarding my education. Since the class sizes are so small, the teachers are able to pay individual attention to each student, their grades, and even know their names! I love going to school and knowing that I'm receiving the same value of education at a cheaper price compared to a four year university.

I transferred to UW-Fond du Lac after attending a major university for a semester. Immediately the faculty and staff welcomed and encouraged me to get involved and focus on activities that would help me to achieve further goals. From students to staff to professors, everyone knows who you are and is willing to help you with any question you may have. Attending UW-Fond du Lac has been one of the best choices I have ever made and I am glad to have begun my college career here.

UW- Fond du Lac was the best choice for me to make. Having an undecided major, I didn't know what I wanted to do with my future. With some assistance from the helpful staff and advisors I was able to try different classes and find a major and pursue it. UW- Fond du Lac truly is the best start for the life I want.

Daryl Zupke -- North Fond du Lac

UW-Fond du Lac is a great place to start. The tuition is affordable, the class sizes are small, and it has a friendly atmosphere. It's nice to know that all these apply and I'm getting as good of an education as the people who go to a four year college.

Becky R. -- Eden
I transferred in from a private college not knowing what I really wanted to do as a career. Once I finally figured out what I wanted to do, I set some goals for myself. UW-Fond du Lac has offered me the greatest opportunity to achieve my goals. Even though UW-Fond du Lac is a two year campus, the memories and experience will always outweigh most other colleges. Since the campus is small, l the faculty, staff, and professors are always concerned about the student as individuals and are always willing to help or guide us in the right direction. Over all UW-Fond du Lac has been a very positive experience for me.

Courtney N. -- Fond du Lac
UW-Fond du Lac changed my life! The faculty, staff and students are so willing to help you know what resources are available. The people here really do care what happens to their students! This campus has allowed me to grow and experience things that never would have been possible had I been lost in a sea of students on a larger campus. Thanks UW-Fond du Lac!

Christine H. -- Fond du Lac
ana When I'll look back at the days I've spent here in the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac, I'll remember how open and friendly this campus really is. From the students themselves to the educated faculty and staff; this campus is filled with warm people whom are more than eager to assist anyone that needs it. The experiences I've had here will linger with me for years to come.

Ana K. -- Waupun
stacie I've grown considerably attending UW-Fond du Lac, in ways I did not suspect when I came here. As a non-traditional, adult student, starting college was particularly frightening for me. I enrolled confident in my ability to relate to what I would learn, but not in my ability to relate to other people-I clearly remember thinking I would quietly attend classes and receive my education with little social interaction. To my surprise, I've found a strengthening voice within myself unafraid to share thoughts, passions, joys, and occasional frustrations. I discovered that relationships with classmates, faculty, and campus staff are an integral and vastly rewarding part of my education. A larger university might have provided comfortable anonymity, but I understand now that I needed what UW-Fond du Lac alternatively provides- a warm, inviting community, full of faces you recognize, friends and mentors that encourage your growth, and an audience of uncritical ears to test your voice in the world. Quite simply, I'm having the time of my life, and I can attribute that to what I feared most-the people.

Stacie T. -- Fond du Lac
I didn’t think college was for me.  But after I picked up a UW-Fond du Lac book, and did some researching, I realized that this place is for me. Being able to be yourself, and being on a first name basis with your professors, makes it a great joy to go here.

dayeed payesteh Students feel that my classes... prepare them well for their future.

I have a high level of expectation of my students. I always make myself available to students inside and outside the classroom. I hold one office hour per week in the commons and encourage them to call me at home whenever they have a question.

I have increasingly supplemented my lectures with the new technology. The students use the World Wide Web as a research tool to perform economic analysis and I use it to create my own "newspaper" for class which includes articles on current economic issues from sources such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

It has been very satisfying to me to learn that my students feel that my classes are challenging and prepare them well for their future studies.
