Counselor's Update
Counselor Luncheon and FACA Meeting April 13
A counselor luncheon and FACA meeting will be held at UW-Fond du Lac in the Large Group Instruction Room (LGI) on Friday, April 13. The luncheon will be held from 12-1:00 pm and a FACA meeting will follow. Some of the highlights of the luncheon will include discussion/information on the following:
- Expanded Transfer Opportunities “UW-System and WTCS”
- UW-Fond du Lac Summer Session
- Holistic Admissions- The Final Process
- Grade Inflation and the ACT / College Admissions
- ACT Prep Course
- Counselor input on which colleges to recommend for specified majors

UW Night for Adult Students
Thursday, April 5, 6-8:00 pm
Representatives from 5 UW four year schools that offer bachelor’s degree programs on the UW-Fond du Lac campus will present information on their programs and how to get started. Time will be provided to meet personally with advisors from these schools. Bring a friend!

Scholarships
It is not too late for new students to apply for scholarships! The University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac Foundation, Inc. encourages the enrollment of students who will add to the overall excellence of its academic and co-curricular programs. The scholarship program is intended to provide financial support for and recognition of students who have demonstrated qualities of excellence.
If students are interested in applying for a scholarship at UW-Fond du Lac, please direct them to the information online. The Scholarship Application Packet is available in PDF format. Applications are also available at the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation office and the Student Services office.
The application deadline is April 9, 2007

ACT Exam Preparation
The next ACT Exam Preparation course will begin on Saturday, May 5. The ACT exam is an important component of the college admissions review process. This course is open to all students who will be taking the ACT exam this spring whether they will attend UW-Fond du Lac or a college elsewhere.
The sessions will be taught by faculty from the UW Colleges. At the first class meeting of each session, students will take a diagnostic test to identify areas of both strength and need. The second and third class meetings will include a review of the pretest results, English, reading, writing, math and science. The last class meeting will include a mini-test, wrap-up, and questions.

Placement Test Dates
Dates and times for placement tests over these next few months are listed below. Placement tests are provided on our campus. Students are asked to arrive at least 20 minutes before the noted time to pay the $25 fee and locate the test site. The tests begin promptly at the time listed below; LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED AND MUST TAKE THE TESTS AT A LATER DATE.
Advance registration for the tests is not required; rather simply choose the date and time that fits your schedule and report for the tests.
